What they do

Studio Joy are an Interior Design and Construction team with two decades of experience in the Melbourne construction industry. With Kristel Marshall at the helm of the Interior Design arm of Studio Joy, she has spent 10 years building a design studio with a list of repeat clients and her work has been featured in most of Australia's leading interiors publications.  Her husband, Kristian is a Registered Builder and HIA Member with 20 years experience working in the industry he loves. Together, they combine their attention to design detail and impressive hands-on construction skill and help clients navigate their projects of all sizes and scopes.

They are problem solvers and hand holders and pride themselves on consistently providing amazing outcomes on time and on budget.

​As small business owners and parents (two kids, a groodle and a tetchy cat) they understand the rigours of busy family life and create spaces that look beautiful and make life easier.

They know the design and construction process inside out and that it works best when it is collaborative. They listen to their clients and have a reputation for fostering a solid foundation of trust between their studio, their clients and their stable of reliable trades.
